S Appa Rao and K Ravi Babu won the senior (under-40) title in the All-Odisha Ranking Men`s Doubles Tournament, which concluded here at Unit-I Indoor Hall today. In the final they beat Rashmi Ranjan Baura and Girija Ray.
The veterans (above-40) crown went to Subasis Sahoo and Mustaq Khan, while Santosh Choudhury and Srikant Choudhury finished runners-up. The three-day tournament was organised by K1 Shuttler, a consortium of badminton lovers.
Title winners in each category received a cash prize of Rs 15,000 each, while the runners-up were given Rs 10,000 each. Santosh Choudhury was adjudged the best player of the tournament. Manas Choudhury and Ashok Acharya handed over the prizes at the closing function.
